Chemistry studies at Heidelberg University. Thesis work with Professor
Bernd Bukau at the ZMBH at Heidelberg University and at the Institut
for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Freiburg University, Germany.
Research fellow with Professor Sir Alan Fersht at the Cambridge Centre
for Protein Engineering and Cambridge University, United Kingdom,
supported by an EMBO Long-Term-Fellowship and a Marie-Curie Fellowship.
Byk-Gulden Award 2001 of the GBM (German Society for Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology). Since September 2004 scientific independence as
Assistant Professor at the Department of Cellular Protein Chemistry at
Utrecht University. In 2005 Marie-Curie Excellence Grant of the European
Union and VIDI grant of the Nederlands Science Organisation NWO. In 2006 the High Potential of Utrecht University.
